Join us for four days of reflection, remembrance, and community as The Wall That Heals comes to Taylor, Michigan. All events are free and open to the public.For four days, our community will stand before 58,281 names — each one a life, a family member, a neighbor. The Wall That Heals travels so that every American can experience what stands in Washington, D.C. This August, it comes to us. Free and open, day and night, for everyone.

KEYNOTE SPEAKER

COMMAND SERGEANT MAJOR TERRY P. RICHARDSON (RET.)

MEDAL OF HONOR RECIPIENT

Command Sergeant Major Terry P. Richardson (Ret.), Medal of Honor Recipient, will serve as Keynote Speaker at the Welcome Home Ceremony for The Wall That Heals — honoring the courage, sacrifice, and legacy of those who served in Vietnam.

TUESDAY, AUGUST 11
ESCORT

The Wall that Heals arrives in the afternoon with a motorcycle escort.

WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 12
VOLUNTEER ORIENTATION: 6:00 PM

Mandatory orientation for all volunteers supporting The Wall That Heals. Overview of volunteer roles, schedules, site logistics, and expectations to ensure a safe and meaningful visitor experience.

THURSDAY, AUGUST 13
WELCOME HOME CEREMONY: 10:00 AM

The official opening ceremony for The Wall That Heals begins honoring the service and sacrifice of Vietnam veterans. The keynote speaker will be CSM Terry P. Richardson (Ret.) Vietnam veteran and recent Medal of Honor recipient.

TOURS

Scheduled group tours are available at 8:00AM, 12:00 PM, 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM. offering guided educational experiences for schools, organizations, and community groups visiting The Wall That Heals.

TAPS AT SUNSET (APROX. 8:40 PM):

At sunset, the solemn notes of Taps will echo across the grounds, honoring the fallen and marking a moment of reflection, remembrance, and gratitude for those who never made it home.

FRIDAY, AUGUST 14
TOURS

BRINGING LIGHT TO AGENT ORANGE AND PTSD CEREMONY: 9:30 PM

A candlelight ceremony honoring veterans and their families while recognizing Agent Orange and PTSD awareness, reflection, healing, and remembrance.

SATURDAY, AUGUST 15

The exhibit concludes with retiring the colors AND closing remarks thanking volunteers and honoring the service, sacrifice, and legacy of Vietnam veterans.
